We love this era of car here at JCB. For anyone that wants to know how a car should drive and handle, then have a go in a 90-00s hot hatch.
Most of these cars have been scrapped, crushed, crashed, rotted away etc, but now and again a little piece of nostalgia appears that reminds you why we love cars.
This is one of those nostalgic moments. This is a 31,000 mile Saxo VTR with 12 services and just 2 former keepers. It is in superb condition, regardless of the fact its a 20 year old car. We have seen some 12 month old cars in far worse condition! For a quick walk around, have a look at our Facebook page and go to the video section.
The paintwork is fantastic, and is the interior. It’s a very solid example and very well cared for.
They certainly don’t make them like this anymore! Plus it’s a complicated as a pencil sharpener, so it’s easy to fix, easy to drive, and puts the biggest smile on your face without the need to fill up every 50 yards. No electronics, no traction control systems, just masses of fun. Cars are too complicated and too powerful these days, jump in this, rewind the clock and I’m sure you will agree!
Guaranteed investment, that you can actually enjoy driving, these cars are so rare, have a look how much a 30,000 mile 205 GTI is. It’s only a matter of time before this era follows in their footsteps.
